Mounjaro 5mg Injection

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription medication used to help manage type 2 diabetes by lowering blood sugar levels when used alongside diet and exercise. It is administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection. Mounjaro works by activating both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, which stimulates insulin release when blood glucose is high, reduces glucagon production in the liver, slows stomach emptying to control post-meal glucose spikes, and increases feelings of fullness to reduce appetite and food intake.

In addition to its use in type 2 diabetes, Mounjaro is also approved for chronic weight management in adults with obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m²) or overweight (BMI 27–30 kg/m²) with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol. Clinical trials have demonstrated significant weight loss with Mounjaro, with an average reduction of 50.3 lbs compared to 33.1 lbs with semaglutide in a head-to-head trial, highlighting its superior efficacy for weight loss.
